-
DescriptionSotalol Hydrochloride is an adrenergic beta-antagonist that is used in the treatment of life-threatening arrhythmias.(In Vivo):Sotalol hydrochloride (MJ 1999) is an antiarrhythmic agent.Sotalol at doses of up to 100 mg/kg does not affect the electroconvulsive threshold. Applied at doses of 80-100 mg/kg, sotalol hydrochloride does not affect the antielectroshock action of Oxcarbazepine, Lamotrigine, Pregabalin, or Topiramate. Sotalol hydrochloride alone and in combinations with antiepileptics impairs neither motor performance nor long-term memory. Sotalol hydrochloride (100 mg/kg) significantly decreases the brain concentration of Lamotrigine, increases those of Oxcarbazepine and Topiramate, and does not affect the level of Pregabalin.
